Today my class had Japanese calligraphy in the 5th and 6th lesson.
We practiced '元気な子' or '美しい空'.
I practiced '元気な子'.
It was very hard especially '気' and 'な' because it has hard strokes.
I think we are going to write this in January.
I hope it will go well.

10 days later my school's winter holiday will begin.
I am going skiing with my family.
But the ski resort has no snow so I am worried.
I really hope it will snow at the ski resort.
I wonder why winter holiday is only about 2 weeks.
I want it to be longer because then I can have more fun.

Today was my last english class for the 2nd term.
Unfortunaely, my normal teacher didn't come.
I was dissapointed because I can't see him until 3rd term.
Our substitute teacher was also very nice.
For homework, we needed to write a diary.
It seemed easy so I was happy.
I hope I can become more better than now in the 3rd term at english.

Today everyone got a musical score of 'Pirates of Caribbean,He's a pirate' except my friend and me because the teacher is writing our score.
We were told to be mini teachers for now.
Everyone practiced playing it.
First it didn't look good but they became better at the end of today's lesson.
I think it will go well but I am a bit worried too.
I hope I can get my score soon and also make the performance a big success.

Today my class and the 2nd and 6th graders had english performance day.
I was very nervous.
When it started I was nervous than ever.
I was happy when I was able to say my part with a big voice.
When we were going to sing our song, I tried to sing loud with a big voice.
It was scary performing in front of a lot of people but I felt good when it finished.
The other grades also did a superb job.

After school I went to my friends house.
We did our homework together.
Then we played soccer outside at the park near his house.
After that we played Wii and with our DS.
I had a very fun time.
I hope I can go to his house again.
I had a brilliant day.

Today my class had a english performance day reahearsal.
Until yesterday, my class seemed like it won't be good.
But it became a brilliant performance today.
The Morroco and Brazillian song was great!
I just don't know why we were bad and suddenly become superb.
I think my class is good when we try hard.
I hope my class's peformance will be a superb one.

Yesterday I ran a 2km marathon.
I was very nervous and exited because it was the first marathon I ran in my life.
I was worried if I can run 2km.
But when I started running,I thought I can do it.
I was very tired by about 1.5km but I never gave up.
When I made it to the goal I was very very happy.
I think marathons are fun.
I want to run again next year.

Today it rained heavily.
The wind was strong so it semmed like a rainstorm.
I am curious about why it was so sunny and it rained all of a sudden.
After it there was a puddle like a lake at the park.
I really want to know why the weather can change so quickly and how the weather changes different days.
I hope I can get answers.

Today only my class had a teacher's open day.
Other teacher's in the ward came to see us.
There were about 20 teachers so I was very nervous.
We guessed about how Tokyo and other countries are connected in our lesson Today.
I thought they are connected by a lot of things like Tokyo Tower.
We will see how it really is next time.
I think it was a good lesson.
Everyone was really listening hard.
My teacher said it was good so we had no homework.
I was very happy.
I had a great day.

Today I went to see the eye docter.
First they told me to look at the picture in the machine and don't blink.
The picture is always a hot air baloon.
Next they gave me glasses with a black patch to make me see with 1 eye.
They told me to tell which way a gap is open in a circle.
Then they put in lenses in the glasses.
I saw very clearly.
The docter said I have 0.9 and 0.9 in the Japanese way.
It meant that my eyedrops are working.
I was happy.
I hope I get my eyesight back.

Today my teacher said that we will play the main piece from 'Pirates of Caribbean'.
It is about 3 months later but we are starting practice already.
I hope I can play it well because I like it and my mum likes it too.
I want to play the melody because I can play a lot and it makes me proud.
I think it will be a superb music concert.

Today my dad bought me a kids mobile phone.
It is because when I start going soccer by myself, if something happened, I can call my mum.
They made the phone be only able to call my parents.
I cannot even use the mail!
I think it should be cheaper than normal phones because you can only use it a bit even if
you try to use it a lot.
Though I cannot use it for playing, I am just happy being able to hold it.
I hope I can become good at using it with good mobile phone manners.

Today people from the Botswana embassy came to school to talk about Botswana and Tokyo's friendship.
I was surprised when they said that rare metal which are used in mobile phones are found in Botswana.
They also let us eat sweets that Botswana people wants to sell in Tokyo.
It was very yummy so I think it is a good idea.
I learned a lot about Botswana and Tokyo's friendship.
I think it was a great lesson.

Today we had seat changing.
If we behave well for 3 weeks,we will have it again the last week of the second term.
I like seat changing because it is exciting to think who will sit next to me.
I am happy this time because one of my best friends are in the same group with me.
I am also happy because I am the leader of my group.
I hope I can be a good leader.
I think my group is a fun group.

Today I sprained my toe for the first time in my life.
I sprained it when I accidentaly kicked a wall.
I first was worried because I never sprained anywhere before.
But I was relived because my mum said it was ok.
I hope it doesn't really get bad.

Today my brother's friend moved to Bangkok because of his father's job.
He came to play in the afternoon.
We might not see him until 2 years later.
I am a bit sad.
He had a little brother.
I think I will miss him.
He was very cute and I liked playing with him.
I think this will be a big experience for my brother because he has to say goodbye to a good friend.
I hope they will be well at Bangkok.

From today, My class will learn about how air gets warm.
We did an experiment.
We used a thermometer and a thermos bottle with hot water inside.
We put some water in a small tank and made the water about 73 degrees.
Then we put in a flask full of air.
There was a cap on top so no air would run out.
Then the cap flew up.
I wondered why it did.
I think I will learn that next time.

From today, my class will make guidebooks about 'Hinohara Mura' or Tokyo's islands.
I will make one about 'Hinohara Mura' .
We have learned about Tokyo a lot.
So this is to round up what we learned about.
But my teacher has another plan.
Our english teacher used to live near my school but he moved to Kanagawa because he didn't like the polluted air in Tokyo and he thought there was little nature.
Our guidebooks will show him that there is a lot of nature and clean air.
I hope he comes back from Kanagawa.

Today 4th, 5th and 6th graders went to a hall for a music workshop.
We had an opportunity to learn from people of the New York Philharmonic.
After we got our instruments ready, we had a rehearsal.
When it started, I was very nervous.
The New York Philharmonic helped us with our performance.
We learned about strong and weak sounds.
When the workshop started I was even nervous than before.
This time they told us the real story of the composer.
We were also told to think about the title of the piece.
In the end, our performance became brilliant.

That night, I had my birthday celabration with my family.
My brother hid my presents and I found them with clues.
I got a Game of life, a book coupon, a WII game called 'Family Ski World Ski and Snowboard' and some pocket money.
I was very happy.
For dinner, we ate roast chicken and bread.
For dessert we ate cake.
It was very very yummy.
I had a superb day.

From today we will do basketball in P.E..
I am not very good at it.
But I think that if you practice,you can be good at anything.
So I will practice a lot.
I hope I do become better at it.

My mother and father are planning for a ski trip.
I like ski trips a lot.
I am also good at skiing.
I want to go to a lot of snow mountains.
I also want to go to the same places and retry hard courses.
But I think wherever we go skiing, it will be very fun.

Yesterday my school had a health check for pre-school children who might come to my school next year.
My class and the 5th grade class are helpers.
I and 2 of my friends had a big job,bringing the parents and child for a talk with the principal.
Everyone said that this was the hardest job so I was nervous.
At first it was not easy but in the end we were able to handle it.
I also thought that pre-school children were cute.
The teacher said that we did a great job.
I hope I can help again.

Today was the last day for my friend who used to go to the same school.
We played soccer.
The score was 11-10.
I think we had a very fair match.
I went with my friend all the way to the station.
Then when we said goodbye,I hoped that he had a fun time in Tokyo.
I think I had a superb time with him.

Today the friend who used to go to the same school as me came to my house.
We played othello.
I was sure I would win but I lost.
Next we played a game called copit.
It is a game which you catch other people's markers and go back to your area.
The person who caught the most markers wins.
My friend won,I was second,My brother was third.
We played WII too.
We played Wario land shake and Family ski.
He was good a skiing in family ski.
I had a fun time at home.

Today my school had a fair because this month is my school's 130th birthday.
A friend who used to come came too.
I was very happy.
There were games and food.
I played 6 games(we could only play 6 games).
I ate fried noodles and drank juice.
I also played soccer at the soccer corner.
I won against coaches 5-2.
In the end I ate shaved ice.
It was such a fun fair that I didn't want it to end.
It was brilliant!

Today I played soccer with my friends again.
We played 3 matches.
The first match we lost 10-2.
But in the second match we won 6-5.
It was a good game but we won in the end.
The third match ended 1-1.
I won one,draw one and lost one.
It was fun.
It was also a fair game.

Today the 4,5,6th graders had parade practice.
We are going to have a music parade on October 31st.
I will play the saxophone.
I have become pretty good at playing music with it.
The only problem is that we walk too fast.
I am trying to walk slowly but everyone else also walk fast so I also walked fast.
There is only 4 days left.
I hope our parade will be brilliant.

Today my team participated in a soccer tournament.
My team lost 9-0 in the first game.
The other team was very strong.
In the second game we lost 2-0.
I was sad because it meant we can't win the tournament.
But in the third game, we drew 0-0.
I was happy that we didn't lose for at least 1 game.
I was not happy about the results today.

Tomorrow I will participate in a soccer tournament.
I wonder who will be my team.
But whoever they are,I will do my best.
My grandparents will also come to the tournament.
I wish I can do great for them too.
I hope my team wins the tournament.

Today I played soccer with my friends.
In the first half, I scored all my team's goals.
The opposing team also scored a lot.
At half time, it was 12-10.
My team was winning but we have to be careful.
In the second half my teammates also scored.
Then the other team got a comeback.
My team was losing.
But we never gave up.
Then we tied the score.
Then at the last minuite, I scored.
My teammate scored too.
My team won.
It was a very nice match.
